The 2024 Summer Peacebuilding Institute offers 12 peacebuilding, restorative justice, trauma awareness, and social change courses in 7 and 5 day sessions. Following the list of classes and instructors is information about scholarships, visas, lodging and meals. Courses are offered for professional education or academic credit. Please feel free to pass this email on to colleagues and organizations that may be interested in the courses.
Session 1: May 13 – 21, 2024 (7 days, 3 credits)

Applications
The SPI application must be completed in full before any admission decision will be made. Please follow all online instructions carefully.
Estimated costs
The estimated costs include course fees, living, and miscellaneous expenses. Travel, visas, insurance, and other expenses before and after the courses are not included.
Scholarships
Full and partial scholarships are available. The descriptions will help you to decide if you want to apply for any of them.
Visas
We recognize that international participants need to apply for visas as soon as possible and we will do what we can to help you by providing letters of acceptance and other paperwork as needed. We cannot provide any visa assistance until you are accepted into the program.
Lodging and Food on campus
If you choose to live in EMU housing, you will stay in a single room in a dormitory with shared bathrooms and a shared kitchen. You will also be able to purchase a meal plan that includes the cost of lunch and dinner at the cafeteria on EMU’s campus. If you choose not to stay on campus, you will be able to purchase a meal plan or individual meals at the cafeteria.
