William Schuette ’70, Versailles, Ohio, is sharing his remarkable story of hope through the book “Living with Terminal Lung Cancer.” He served for 30 years in education and became an avid bike rider and hiker including a hike-thru of the Appalachian Trail before hearing, “You have stage 4 lung cancer; it’s terminal.” After suffering through chemo, Schuette was introduced to ALK inhibitor drugs, and even though he was told he had six months to two years to live, he’s traveled to all seven continents including all 63 of the National Parks.
